The Internet Service Providers Association Awards
The ISPA or Internet Service Providers Association is a British governing body made up of Internet Service Provides or ISP. Established in 1995 to become the first formal trade association for ISPs, the body aims to promote healthy competition among its members while allowing self regulation by complying and binding its members  with a set of acceptable ethical business and consumer service practice embodied in its ISPA Code.
The Internet Industry Awards
Since 1999, the ISPA holds its annual UK Internet industry awards to recognize both organizations and individuals for their exceptional contribution to the internet industry as well as to celebrate technical innovation and best industry practice for the year. In 2002, the awards became known as the ISPAs. Attended by the bigwigs in the internet industry, from the government and private sector consisting of company executives from telecoms and computer companies, the ISPAs have become a prestigious and highly anticipated event in the internet service industry.
Every year, the awards take on special meaning as body recognizes the many changes taking place in broadening the internet service picture. For this year, the award categories now fall on two divisions, ISP and the Special Awards.
- The ISP division awards the following: Best Consumer Fixed Broadband, Best Consumer Mobile Broadband, Best Consumer Customer service, Best Business Fixed Broadband, Best Business Mobile Broadband, Best Business Customer Service, Best Dial-up, Best Shored Hosting, Best Dedicated Hosting, Best Internet Telephony and Best Streaming Host.
- In the Special Awards division, the categories are The Corporate Social Responsibility Award, Internet Hero and Internet Villain.
