Orange Mobile Broadband
Orange has designed a mobile broadband service package called Internet Everywhere that allows you to get into its 3G network with up to 3.6Mbps max that’s accessible to around 90% of UK population. But if you are in the unfortunate 10% population who can’t be reached by its 3G mast, your access automatically shifts to 2G.
All that is needed is the USB broadband dongle that acts as a high speed modem to your laptop or netbook while on the road or even to your PC for high speed connection from your home desktop. The Orange Mobile broadband dongles are offered in three colors, black, white and pink.
12 month and 18 month contracts
Orange offers mobile broadband internet services for as low as ₤4.89 a month on an 18-month contract. You get a free 500MB download allowance a month with a free Huawei E160e broadband dongle that doubles as flash drive with 8GB microSD storage support. 500 MB won’t get you far except for checking emails or CNN news but you can have options all the way to 10 GB costing ₤24.47 a month. And if you exceed your download limits, you pay only 1.96p per MB but Orange commits that you won’t ever pay more than ₤40 a month.
A 12-month contract offers the same deal but starts out with a 1GB download limit at ₤12.72 a month.
